Each year, one of highlights is our annual Fitz Egg Hunt. This year, due to Covid-19 and the physical distancing restraints, we had to cancel our in-person hunt at Catherine Street park and do something a little different.
We decided to invite EVERYONE in our neighbourhood to participate and do a window scavenger egg hunt. Neighbours were invited to post a picture of an Easter egg or spring decor in their windows and #FitzKids were invited to find as many as they could during Easter weekend. Everyone who participated was invited to send us their pictures and our Fitz Easter bunny delivered a brimming bag of goodies, thanks to the generous donations from Zerhs Food Market on Geneva Street.
The event was a huge success with over 75 kids participating. This may become our new annual tradition.
